With sorrow we announce the passing of Joan Houchen, GMF Trustee, and long-time and beloved docent. Joan, a native of Minnesota, grew up in Montana. She later lived on Camano Island and served two terms in the Washington Legislature representing the 10th District.

She brought her expertise, good humor and enthusiasm to all GMF activities.

An accomplished quilter, she created the same kind of magic to those who knew her. She will be sorely missed. Our condolences to her family.
