“SALUTE TO STATEHOOD” THEME OF GOVERNOR’S MANSION NOVEMBER TOURS

The calendar has been set for the Governor’s Mansion November tours, conducted by the docents of the Governor’s Mansion Foundation.  The “Salute to Statehood” tours, commemorating Washington State joining the union in November 1889, will feature the Mansion’s  collections related to  state symbols and history as well as rare, original documents related to statehood in partnership with Washington State Archives. The tour dates are set for Wednesday, November 1 at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 12:30 p.m. Then again on Wednesday November 8 at 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.  The tours are 45-minutes in length.

For reservations, visit the Department of Enterprise Services website at  https://apps.des.wa.gov/mansion/mansion.aspx to complete an online Mansion Tour request form. Reservations MUST be made at least 24 hours in advance. However, tours fill up fast so the earlier you make your reservation, the better. Mansion Tours).  Adult tour guests must present photo identification and all visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Masks are not required. No umbrellas, strollers or food/drink will be allowed on the tour. The Mansion is accessible to wheelchairs and walkers. Visitors must walk a 200-yard incline up the Mansion.
